Real Estate Agents

There are some interesting trends occuring in the real estate world today. I'd like to talk about three of them:

1. The housing market is on fire. According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR)over seven million existing homes in the United States in 2005.

2. The number of licensed Realtors is on the rise. NAR also reports that there are now over 1,000,000 card carrying Realtors in the United States.

3. Homebuyers are using in the Internet to search for homes. According to the California Association of Realtors, 76% of all new home searches start on the Internet.

All this means is that there are over a million realtors competing with each other to list over 7,000,000 homes each year. It becomes tough to differentiate. However, as the Internet becomes more and more prolific, there is a gap developing between real estate agents who understand and use technology and those who do not.

With 76% of all new home searches starting on the Internet, real estate agents need to differentiate themselves by offering new and innovative ways of displaying and promoting their listings! Interactive floor plans have not been widely adopted because up till now there has not been an easy, inexpensive way to create then!
